Laundry POS software for Omani laundries

A laundry counter prices by the kilo and by the piece, and a busy day means dozens of small tickets. Q+ has a Laundry business type with a price list built around the pieces Omani customers bring, so the counter can ring up a bag in seconds.

Updated:

A price list that fits the counter

When you pick Laundry at registration, Q+ loads these services, ready for your own prices:

  • Wash & Fold: priced per kilogram.
  • Dry Clean: Dishdasha, Shirt, Abaya, each per piece, and Suit (2 pcs) per set.
  • Press: Press Only, per piece.

Each line carries its own unit, so kilos of wash and fold and four dishdashas sit on the same receipt without any manual maths. Add the items your laundry handles, such as curtains, bed sheets, kumma or carpets, with the unit that suits them.

Counter mode, because laundries run on drop-off

The Laundry type runs in counter mode. There is no waiting line to manage, so Q+ puts the POS first on the Operations screen, followed by Products, Stock and Clients. The unit of work is a ticket, and the words in the app follow that.

Taking a drop-off

  1. Choose the customer from your client list, or sell to a walk-in customer. A named customer gets the receipt on their own phone or email.
  2. In Sell, add the services: the kilos for wash and fold and the pieces for dry cleaning or pressing.
  3. Take payment by cash or card.
  4. Send the receipt by WhatsApp or email, or print it through the phone, so the customer has proof of what they left.

Money that adds up

Laundry prices are small: a pressed shirt costs baisa, not rials. Rounding to two decimals, as many tools do, turns into real errors across hundreds of pieces. Q+ keeps Omani rials to three decimal places on every line and every total.

Each sale creates its invoice, payment and accounting entries. If your laundry is VAT-registered and you have recorded your VATIN, Q+ applies VAT and prints the VATIN on tax invoices. The VAT report and profit and loss come from the same records.

Close each day cleanly

Open a shift in the morning and close it at night. Q+ calculates on the server how much cash the drawer should hold and shows whether it is exact, over or short. If the connection drops in the shop, Q+ keeps selling and syncs later, so the counter never stops.

What Q+ does not track yet

Q+ records what the customer paid for, not where each garment is in your workshop. It does not print garment tags and does not send an automatic ready for pickup message. You can keep your own tag system and use Q+ for sales, receipts, VAT and the daily cash count.

Running a tailor shop?

The Q+ library also has a Tailor type for orders, measurements and pickup tickets. Choose it if you sew dishdashas rather than clean them.
