Your starter menu
When you pick Cafe & Coffee at registration, Q+ loads a menu in five categories:
- Hot Coffee: Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Cafe Latte, Flat White and Spanish Latte.
- Cold Coffee: Iced Americano, Iced Latte and Iced Spanish Latte.
- Tea: Karak Tea and Green Tea.
- Bakery: Butter Croissant, Chocolate Muffin and Cheesecake Slice.
- Cold Drinks: Still Water 500ml and Fresh Orange Juice.
Menu drinks are not stock-tracked one by one, because you make them to order. Change the names and prices to your own menu, add your signature drinks and remove what you do not serve.
The order queue
The Cafe type runs in queue mode. Q+ creates an Order Queue with a starting average of 4 minutes an order, and every ticket gets a number. The barista sees how many orders are waiting and taps Call next when one is ready. Q+ estimates the wait as the number of orders ahead multiplied by your average, and it can send the customer a WhatsApp message when the order is called.
Order from the phone, collect at the counter
Q+ includes a customer web page for your cafe with a photo menu, a cart and payment. After payment, the customer sees a ticket page with their number, and the order joins your queue. Card payment on this page depends on your payment setup, so ask Q+ support to check it for your cafe before you print a QR code for the tables.
Checkout at the counter
- Tap the drinks and snacks on the Sell screen.
- Add a discount if you run an offer.
- Take cash or card.
- Send the receipt by WhatsApp or email, or print it through the phone.
Prices are in Omani rials to three decimal places, so a 0.400 karak and a 1.300 latte add up exactly. If the connection drops during the morning rush, Q+ keeps selling and syncs later.
Close the day with a counted drawer
Open a shift when you open the shutter and close it at night. Q+ calculates on the server how much cash the drawer should hold and shows whether it is exact, over or short. The owner Home then shows sales for the last 30 days, today's orders and costs and the top-selling items, so you know which drinks carry the cafe.
Other food and drink types
The Q+ library also has Juice & Karak Shop and Food Truck types, which run on a fast queue, a Restaurant type with a Kitchen Queue, and a Bakery & Sweets type for counter sales. Pick the one that matches how your customers order.
