What you get when you pick Barber Shop
- Haircut: Haircut and Kids Haircut.
- Beard: Beard Trim and Shave.
- Treatments: Hair Wash and Face Mask.
- A Barber Queue with a starting average of 20 minutes a customer.
All six are services, so they never touch stock. Set your own prices and add the services your barbers offer, such as hair colour or a head massage. If you sell oils, combs or hair products, add them as products and Q+ tracks their stock.
Why the queue matters in a barber shop
Customers accept a wait when they know how long it is. They leave when nobody can tell them. The Q+ Queue tab shows the number in the chair and how many are waiting. When a chair is free, the barber taps Call next. The wait estimate is the number of customers ahead multiplied by your average service time. Twenty minutes is only a starting point. If your barbers average 25 minutes for a cut and beard, set 25, and the estimate will match what customers really see.
Q+ can send a WhatsApp message when a customer joins the queue, with the number of people ahead and the estimated wait, and another when they are called. This lets a customer wait in the car or at the cafe next door instead of on the bench.
From the chair to the payment
- The barber finishes the cut and the customer comes to the counter.
- In Sell, tap the services, for example Haircut and Beard Trim.
- Add a discount for a regular or a child if you give one.
- Take cash or card and send the receipt by WhatsApp or email.
The sale creates the invoice, payment and accounting entries at once. If the shop is VAT-registered and you have recorded your VATIN, Q+ applies VAT and prints the VATIN on the tax invoice.
Cash under control
Barber shops handle a lot of cash. Open a shift in the morning and close it at night. Q+ works out on the server how much cash should be in the drawer and shows if it is exact, over or short. The owner can see sales, costs and top services from the owner Home without standing in the shop.
Salon, nails or spa?
The Q+ library also has a Beauty Salon type and a Spa & Massage type, which run on appointments, and a Nail Studio type, which mixes appointments with a walk-in queue. Choose the type that matches how your customers arrive.
Current limits
Today, a barber cannot add a walk-in to the queue from the app. Tickets come from customer orders on your Q+ web page. There is no printed ticket and no TV display yet. See the queue page for details.
