What Q+ sets up for a clinic
- Consultations: General Consultation, Specialist Consultation and Follow-up Visit.
- Procedures: Dressing and Injection.
- Lab: Blood Test (CBC).
- A Patient Queue with a starting average of 15 minutes a patient.
Set your own fees and add the services your clinic offers. Because the Clinic type runs in booking mode, the Operations screen puts Clients, Invoices, Quotes and Products first, and tools a clinic rarely needs, such as manufacturing or delivery, move to the end.
The visit board
Each patient visit moves through clear states: booked, waiting, in service and complete. The Q+ Board lists the day's appointments and waiting tickets together, and reception moves each visit to the next state as the patient arrives, goes in and leaves. Everyone at the front desk sees the same picture.
The patient queue
The Queue tab shows the ticket now being seen and how many patients are waiting. When the doctor is ready, reception taps Call next. The wait estimate is the number of patients ahead multiplied by your average consultation time. Q+ can send a WhatsApp message with the estimate when a patient joins and another when they are called, within WhatsApp's messaging rules.
Billing at the desk
- Pick the patient from your client list.
- In Sell, add the consultation and any procedure or test.
- Take cash or card and send the receipt by WhatsApp or email.
For a larger treatment plan, send a quote first and convert it into an invoice when the patient agrees. Every sale creates its invoice, payment and accounting entries. If your clinic is VAT-registered, record your VATIN and Q+ applies VAT and prints the VATIN on tax invoices. Ask your accountant how VAT applies to your medical services before you register the rate.
Deposits and no-show fees
Missed appointments cost a clinic a full slot. Q+ supports an appointment policy with a deposit, a cancellation window and a no-show fee. When a fee applies, Q+ posts it to your accounts. The policy has no settings screen in the app yet, so ask Q+ support to set it for your clinic.
What Q+ is not
Q+ is not an electronic medical record. It does not store diagnoses, prescriptions or clinical notes. Keep those in your medical system, and use Q+ for the patient flow at reception, billing, VAT and the daily cash count.
Other health types
The Q+ library also has Dental Clinic, Physiotherapy, Optician and Veterinary Clinic types. Pick the one closest to your practice so the starter services fit from day one.
