POS for car wash businesses in Oman

A car wash lives on two things: the line of cars outside and the money at the counter. Q+ has a Car Wash business type that sets up both on the first day, so you start with a wash bay queue and a price list instead of an empty screen.

Updated:

What Q+ sets up when you pick Car Wash

During registration, you choose your business type. When you choose Car Wash, Q+ seeds your account with a starter pack you can edit:

  • Wash Packages: Exterior Wash, Full Wash (In & Out) and Premium Wash & Wax.
  • Add-ons: Interior Vacuum, Engine Wash and Polish.
  • A Wash Bay Queue with a starting average of 18 minutes a car, which Q+ uses for wait estimates.

Each item is set up as a service priced per car, so a wash never reduces stock by mistake. Change the names, prices and times to match your bays. If you sell car shampoo or air fresheners, add them as products and Q+ will track their stock.

The app speaks car wash

Q+ adapts its words and layout to the business type. For a car wash, the unit of work is a car. Because the Car Wash type runs in queue mode, the Operations screen puts Queue first, then the POS, then Clients and Products. Tools a car wash rarely needs, such as manufacturing or stock transfers, move to the end.

A normal day in a Q+ car wash

  1. Open the shift. The cashier opens a shift in the morning. Q+ records the start of the day.
  2. Serve the line. The Queue tab shows the ticket now in the bay and how many cars are waiting. When a bay is free, tap Call next.
  3. Ring up the wash. In Sell, pick the package and any add-ons, for example Full Wash plus Engine Wash. Add a discount if you give one to a regular.
  4. Take payment. Choose cash or card. Send the receipt by WhatsApp or email, or print it through the phone.
  5. Close the day. Count the cash drawer. Q+ calculates on the server what the drawer should hold and shows if it is exact, over or short.

Built for the forecourt

Car washes work outside, in heat and with wet hands, and the wifi does not always reach the bay. Q+ runs on an iPhone, so the cashier can walk to the car. If the connection drops, Q+ keeps selling and syncs the sales when the signal returns.

VAT and the owner view

Every wash creates its invoice, payment and accounting entries. If your car wash is VAT-registered, record your VATIN and Q+ applies VAT and prints the VATIN on tax invoices. From the owner Home you see sales for the last 30 days, today's costs and orders and your top services, so you know which package actually pays.

Detailing or a garage?

The Q+ library also has a Car Detailing & Tinting type, which runs on bookings, and a Garage & Mechanic type, which runs on a queue. Pick the one closest to how your customers arrive.

Current limits

Staff cannot yet add a walk-in car to the queue from the app. Tickets come from customer orders on your Q+ web page. There is no TV display for the bays. Read the queue page for the full list.
